India, the one of the most diversified Country in the World, and as per its diversified culture it has a diversified interesting :) facts too. 



Lets being the blog by sharing the Top 5 Interesting fact about the Top 5 cities of India.

1. Mumbai. 

Mumbai is an incredible city. It’s been said before. Sometimes, the city itself seems alive, throbbing. The city is life itself. And like life, you never know what’s going to happen next.




Ø Mumbai a city constituted comprising of seven islands.
Ø Mumbai stands as the 7th most populated city in the world.
Ø Central Park – Khargar (Navi Mumbai is the largest park in asia and the third largest in the world)
Ø Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) railway station was the first ever railway station in India.
Ø Juhu Aerodrome, founded in 1928 is the first airport of India.

2.  Bengaluru

It is easy to say that Bengaluru is the third largest city and fifth-largest metropolitan in India or that everyone is awe-inspired by its pleasant climate and beauty which are well known facts. There is much more to Bengaluru than this. Let us surf through some wonderful facts about Bengaluru





Ø In 1906, Bangalore became one of the first cities in India to have electricity from hydro power, powered by the hydroelectric plant situated in Shivanasamudra.

The city of joy, Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) is the capital of India's West Bengal state. Founded as an East India Company trading post, it was India's capital under the British Raj from 1773-1911.




Ø The Howrah Bridge seems to be the identity of the city—but did you know that it’s the one of the largest cantilever bridges in the world, and the largest (and perhaps the only) one in the country?
Ø The National Library of India, situated in Kolkata, is the largest public library in the country.
Ø The Royal Calcutta Golf Club is the first golf club ever, outside the United Kingdom.
Ø If you’re a cricket buff, then you must know the fact that in terms of seating arrangement, it has Eden Gardens – the 3rd largest in the world.
Ø Birla Planetarium in Kolkata is the largest planetarium in Asia, and the second largest in the world!

4. Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, in western India, is the largest city in the state of Gujarat. The Sabarmati River runs through its center. On the western bank is the Gandhi Ashram at Sabarmati, which displays the spiritual leader’s living quarters and artifacts.



Ø The world’s largest ship breaking yard is near Ahmedabad at Bhavnagar.
Ø The first, all-vegetarian Pizza Hut was opened in Ahmedabad.
Ø Within its 600 year history, Ahmedabad was ruled by the Mughals, Marathas, British, and     the current Indian government.

5. Delhi 

Visiting the Indian princely state of Delhi must have been in your mind since a long time. However, it is better to visit it after known interesting facts though it is capital city of India. Here are some of the facts for you in this regard for your quick consideration.

                    

Ø Delhi is one of the greenest cities in the world. Surprised? I was too, but according to statistics, it has about 20% of its landmass covered by forests. This is a no mean feat to accomplish for a country that is home to a fifth of the world's population.
Ø New Delhi's Khari Baoli Market is Asia's largest wholesale spice market. It also might be the largest in the world. If you love spiced food, then this market is a must visit.
Ø Qutub Minar of Delhi is the world’s tallest brick minaret.
Ø Delhi has an International Toilet Museum. Now, that, indeed, is quite interesting!!
Ø The 2010 Common Wealth Games held in Delhi had been reported to be the largest and most expensive of all CWGs till date.
